When the "N" family called to say that they wanted a session on the family farm, I was thrilled to be able to do it. It is such a special thing to be able to capture the memories of the place that this great group called home.

The  fun started in front of the beautiful barn that is a favorite play place of the grandkids.

We wanted to include some photos with the house. I had such a wonderful time hearing the ideas they had for the session. I love getting a chance to  peek at the history and the memories behind their farm and the house.

Three great kids and their mom!

I love this shot of  Mrs. "N" and her five gorgeous granddaughters!

Such a fun evening and lovely light for the session.  We made sure we had time at the end of the night to include one more fun, family memory in our images.

Growing Up!

This is "C". Nearly a year ago we met for the first time. I had the privilege of photographing her birth. I got to see her again at about 6 months. She has grown up quite a bit since then. She has the most incredible eyes! She's quick, she's nearly one year old, and she's not sure she likes being photographed!

I cropped in close on her eyes in this picture simply so you can see how incredible her eyes are.

It took a little bit for her to warm up to me and my camera. We got several serious shots as we were trying out our repertoire of silliness to see what got the best smiles!

She was a sweetheart to put up with our craziness!

And when she was done with posing? She did this!

I'm so fortunate to be able to work with adorable babies like this! Thanks for coming "C"!

Little Man "B"

I got the privilege of spending some time with a gorgeous new baby last week. It is such a delight to get to snuggle a sweet newborn!

At only five days of age he had already decided that he would rather straighten out and take up space instead of curl up.

Such a nice thick head of dark hair. "B" has really long fingers and toes that I am fairly certain he gets from his daddy.

Due to some  rain the night before we got to have Dad, Mom and older brother "A" there to help and to use as props if needed. I love how tiny "B" looks in his daddy's hands!

This little guy was a miniature version of his big brother! "A" was an entertainer and a chatterbox. I spent a lot of time giggling at him. I am fairly sure he will teach his little brother all that he knows just as soon as he is old enough.

Until then Mom and Dad will get to  snuggle this handsome baby! Enjoy him while he is small cause it is unbelievable how quickly they grow.
"J" and "K" thank you so much for  letting me enjoy your darling baby boy!

Let's Talk Cheeks!

I have taken this sweet little lady's pictures before and it always thrills me when she's back again! She's beautiful, quick, and makes me laugh. Oh, and I should mention the cheeks!

It doesn't matter whether she is smiling or not, I am still amazed by the size of her cheeks. Chubby, soft, perfect baby cheeks! All the better to laugh with. And laugh she did!

This adorable giggling grin is courtesy of me smacking a stuffed puppy on the floor repeatedly while saying, "Git the puppy."
The harder I whacked the floor the louder she giggled...and of coarse the louder everyone in the room giggled! I could barely hold my camera, I was laughing so hard!

Such a wonderful sound!

I love using parents as props. It truly shows how small their little one was at that point in their life.

I had a blast getting these images for "A" and "J" of their little girl. I love seeing her grow up. I can't wait for her one year session. As fast as she is crawling these days I will be practicing my wind sprints so I can keep up with the run she will have perfected at our next session!

Sweet Miss "A"

This gorgeous little girl came to visit me yesterday to get her pictures done. She brought along her parents, one big sister and her grandma. We started out getting a few shots with her daddy!

It took a little bit for us to convince her to get these. Seems Miss "A" likes to stretch out! Being curled up was not what she wanted to do but she did eventually let us get a few.

We dressed her up in this adorable dress for part of the session. This thrilled her big sis, who kept asking when we would let her wear the beautiful dress they brought.

Naked again and napping! Who wouldn't be tired? Being so cute can wear a girl out!

She was such a sweet little girl throughout the session! She put up with all the crazy things we wanted her to do.
I can't wait to get through the rest of her images!
